A student of mine said “Master C my body hurts from yesterday’s workout “.
I smiled and said. “That is how you should feel in life in general. Your muscles hurt because you worked them and you are forcing them to grow and to become stronger. That is how it should life your daily life."
"That pain you feel by no longer having that friend that you hoped would be with you through thick and thin...It’s growth!!
That pain you feel by no longer having that boyfriend or girlfriend...It’s growth.
That pain you feel from the uncertainty of tomorrow due to the loss of a job, a bill that is due, or any welcomed circumstance...It’s growth.
The pain comes from you participating in life.
We may not invite the pain, but do not be afraid of its presence. Often pain is the secondary emotion that comes after experience the joy. Don't try to separate one from the other. Smile through the pain and say “I Am Growing!”
